COVID-19 Public Communications: Coral Springs, Florida
The City of Coral Springs remained committed to informing residents and community members about mask and social distancing emergency orders and benefits to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. In effort to inform the public, we implemented social strategies focused on educational content with infographics, videos, and hashtag campaigns. From “Spread Sunshine, Not Germs” to “#MaskUpCS” our COVID-19 social content was always factual, timely and engaging.

Communications ran across all media channels – and were all produced by a dedicated, in-house team of 13 government communicators with expertise in digital media, print design, signage, videography, photography, website management and marketing strategies.

All work was completed in a remote environment, as the staff was all sent home with their computers on March 17, 2020, and operated in that same way through the rest of 2020 and into 2021, until vaccinations (and an entirely new promotion campaign) became the new priority.

Included in gallery are a sampling social media posts, publication examples, video and photography projects, and print graphics. Staff made sure to keep everything well-branded and unique to the City of Coral Springs, so the message stood out to residents who were being hit with a barrage of information, especially through social media.
